"You give me something..." =)

Valentine’s Day 2007 surely turned out to be one of the most memorable ever… for the craziest reasons.
As agreed last year, the girls (Amira, Ezrin, Liana and Nabilah) and I got together for our little “gifts exchange”.
Among the goodies were adorable bears, little candy jars, heart shaped sticks, pretty pink/red bags, glitter key chains, pretty table runners, diaries, candies, lollies, chocolates, hairclips, sentimental notes and …some things (girls stuff) which can not be mentioned here ;p
We went out to One Utama and watched “The Holiday”.
We also ate at Shakey’s. People (mainly couples) from other tables were looking at us (or giving us looks).
I figured girl friends must have felt bit jealous of the fact there were 25 packs of pressies on our tables for ourselves… and boyfriends must’ve felt pressured to ensure their girls are satisfied with their gifts…
*evil laughter*
…muahahaha~
;D
I love my girl friends.
*hugs*
It was fun, overall… apart from our ‘series of unfortunate events’.
Haha… ;D
Let me elaborate on that.
Time wasn’t really on our side during the outing because earlier that day, the car we booked to rent forgot we booked it (wth?). So we spent about an hour calling up rental services.
When we finally got the car, we couldn’t make it to the initial movie booking… and to worsen things, we also got lost for a while.
Thank God, Ezrin’s a good manual driver *ahem*, so we reached in time to catch a later show anyway.
One of the weirdest things that happened while we were watching the show was that during a part in the movie, the screen blanked out.
I think a blackout occurred.
I found it funny because that has NEVER happened to me before, in a cinema!
When I asked, I was told One Utama’s electricity went off.
I think they should install (or install more) generators or something.
We complained out loud during the ‘break’.
…but later realized that maybe some couples preferred the sudden darkness, for perhaps, intimacy purposes.
Being a single and with only girl friends, I was just all out angry with the management because unlike others, we had a curfew to meet (which we didn’t meet, unfortunately ;p)
So, on the way back, Amira drove.
All of us didn’t realise our emptying tank and the car we rented actually stalled on the highway!
Luckily, Amira managed to steer it to the side of the road and a petrol station was only about 200metres from us.
Liana, Nabilah and I decided to walk all the way and bought about 3 litres of petrol in a container. Then walked back to fill the car.
It was crazy! (But very fun too ;p)
To make matters worse, we exceeded the curfew set by our Uni due to the mishap earlier… and each of us got summoned RM50!
*sobs*
(we managed to appeal to a reduced price of RM10 each though, thank God…)
So, once in Uni, we delivered some of the gifts we bought for our favourite people.
The night ended with a funny twist, but everyone agreed it’s a Valentine’s to remember!
Haha… :D

*grins*
=)
And… talking about a Valentine’s to remember, someone else very close to my heart just made it even better by giving me one of the best chocolate analogies ever!
It’s kind of a private joke, really …*ahem*
BUT, this time, the nutty center of my fave “special edition” choc is becoming more and more edible by the day… and I like it =)
Just so you know.
*hugs*

"You Give Me Something" - James Morrison
You only stay with me in the morning
You only hold me when I sleep
I was meant to tread the water
But now I've gotten in too deep
For every piece of me that wants you
Another piece backs away
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart
You only waited up for hours
Just to spend a little time alone with me
And I can say I've never bought you flowers
I can't work out what they mean
I never thought that I'd love someone
That was someone else's dream
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might call you from my heart
But it might be a second too late
And the words that I could never say
Are gonna come out anyway
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart
Know my heart, know my heart, know my heart...
