on some females in space . Post-Rector.
2007-02-06, 5:39 p.m.

What a contradiction with women and space lately.
On one hand, you have the story of how a female astronaut set a new record with the length of time she spent on space. [Read]
And on the other, you have a female astronaut who got so caught up with her romantic affairs and got herself into trouble. [Read]
I wonder if the 2nd news was highlighted to, in a way, underplay the 1st… some sexist media conspiracy theory thing.
But it happened, anyway - so fair enough.
This goes to show that even the most intelligent women do have their down days due to external emotional pressure.
*sighs*
Poor thing.

----------

Last weekend, I was busy with Rector’s Cup.
My team mates were Ezrin and Safiyyah, and we’re called “Charlie’s Angels”.
Yes, another funny name ;p
We won 2 rounds and lost 2 rounds, ranked 6th out of 14 teams.
I did a stupid mistake of being late for the 2nd day’s tourney.
We had to prepare inside the LRT, Ez and I, when the motion was released.
It was a challenge but it’s fortunate we got the gist of the argument.
I completely deserved the pressure because I was irresponsible somehow which upset certain people.
I am truly sorry.
I hope I’ll do better in the coming competitions, if I get selected for them.
*prays*

ps: …oh, how can I forget, I met Jannah in the debate too! She was representing CenFos (matric). Nice to talk to you, sweets =)

----------

I’m (as always) busy with classes and assignments.
Everything seems to be due the very next day.
Is it me or time just flies out the window too fast?
I’d say a combination of both.
I’m trying to spread my commitment as much as I could, but I seem to do so badly at it.
*knocks head*

Plus, I’ve been getting morning headaches and migraines.
I went to the clinic to get a show cause letter and the doctor wrote something a long the lines of “… this patient has chronic migraine problem…”.
Sounds scary eh?
She even asked me to keep a headache journal to determine whether I need to go for head scannings.
=’(
I’ve been told it’s for my own good.
But that does not stop me from feeling worse.

----------

I had a nice conversation with a trainer, Raihan, yesterday which started out as a Q and A session of adjudicator’s feedback to a whole talk on romantic relationships.
I just thought I’d note that here to remind myself of some of her advice.
She recently married an Australian she met during debate tournaments, she’s happy and she completely deserves it =)
*hugs*

Before I end this, here’s a survey which I could have participated in myself, considering the result.
Haha… ;D
Thank you, women of America.
You’re feeling me ;p

“..The study also suggested that clothes often wear better than relationships.” [Read]
