while in nilai. (then, at 10.a.m.)
2006-12-11, 12:15 a.m.

I’m typing this in Nilai, the location of my new/second home.
It’s very… *ahem* peaceful here. Hardly 30% of the neighbourhood is occupied.
There aren’t many places to go for people my age, unfortunately.
I guess it’s the perfect post-retirement location for my parents, so whatever goes as long as they’re happy =)
There’s currently no internet connection here, so I figured “why not write an entry?”

I arrived here straight from Uni yesterday and we spent the night.
Even grandma stayed over, which is really fun, hehe… ;D
*hugs*
We woke up at Subuh and went out for breakfast together.
The bigger boys didn’t come along as they wanted to play football in our backyard.
Lately, they’ve decided that playing around the outside of the house is more convenient than the field.
Yes, it’s pretty spacious… which is perfect for growing teens and toddlers to go wild!
I would’ve taken a picture of them while playing… but I’m currently ‘grounded’ from my camera phone ;p (haha… long story)

Once we got back from breakfast, mom made me wash the car.
Yes.
I washed the family car.
Alone.
The boys came up with a thousand and one reasons as to why they shouldn’t do it.
…and I gave in.
I figured I might as well make myself useful, I have nothing much to do anyway.
Some sense of responsibility different from the normal chore should be kicked into me.

As I was washing the car, I suddenly recalled one of the charity drives I used to organized under Girl Guides years back… and remembered the one where we washed teachers’ cars for funding.
The service was supposed to be available till 6p.m. that day... but I got lazy after taking in over 10 cars in the morning, and I refused some of the cars which came in later.
I told them “the service only last till lunch actually, sorry”.
It was a lie.
One of the most memorable teachers who asked then was Pn. Revathy (she was one of my fave). Somehow, I still feel so guilty for saying “no” to her till today.
I guess it was because I can see the disappointment in her face when she told me she asked her kids to dirty the car the day before just so she can give us business.
Man, why didn’t I make her an exception?
I’m SO sorry…
=(
Wherever she is now, I hope she’s happy… and with a clean car ;p
Hehe…She deserves it ok?
Cos she still gave me an A for her class ;-)

Hm, anyway, the family car looks pretty good now (well, better than before ;p).
I am happy =)
(nevermind the fact that one of my neighbours is this real cute guy who passed by when I was a mess scrubbing the car… it’s cool, hahaha…)

I love my family.
It’s always home whenever they’re there.
*hugs everyone*
