Prayers for Grandpa.
2006-06-09, 1:29 a.m.

This morning, grandma called and told us that grandpa had trouble with breathing.
He needed medical treatment right away and she’s sending him to the hospital.
Mom and I were worried (naturally).
She took the day off and we woke the rest of the kids up to get ready to go with grandpa.

Fortunately, doctors put in breathing tubes in his nose and throat in ER, in time.
He’s been admitted into a ward and will be under observations til Monday.
Mom told us that when she lost her grandfather last time, it was also due to such breathing problems.
And she mentioned that her grandfather looked even healthier once admitted compared to my grandpa at the moment… =’(
The last thing I said to him just now was – ”Atuk, stay strong and fight whatever it is, okay?”
…..
(oh great, tears just welled up my eyes)
*sighs*
I hope he’ll be alright… I’m not ready to lose him yet.
*prays*
…..
…..
…..

The hospital my grandpa is now in is very close to KLCC.
So, that’s where we went for food and … also to shop (how could we resist?)
But for the record, we also got a gift for grandpa, a lush bath towel.
Just to give him an element of home, you know =)

We made a few trips to and fro, successfully avoiding rush hours.
So…
*calculates in mind*
If we visit him daily, we’ll also visit KLCC daily… hehe ;-)
BUT,
Of course my grandpa’s the one I look forward to seeing.
*hugs*

Oh, there were talks in the hospital just now claiming that Mawi’s (yes, the AF winner/SMS-voters favourite artiste) dad is also in one of the wards for treatment, so his famous son was in the building the same time we were.
If not for the fact that we only got to know this after visiting hours ended, I would’ve snooped around just to ‘accidentally bump’ into him.
For the heck of it.
I am not a fan ;p

Al-Zarqawi (the Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq) has been eliminated.
I just read about it.
I don’t know how to feel.
I was shocked… and then wondered if I should be happy or sad.
This inner debate is still going on, so, I won’t declare my opinion of this.
But you’re free to have yours.
Hm… *ponders*

The World Cup’s beginning.
If you had noticed, I haven’t written anything about it despite the wave it creates worldwide.
Why?
Because I have no vested interest at all (i.e. am not a footie fan)
So, if you are one of those who stay up late to watch live matches and follow the game religiously, have a ball doing that!
;D haha…

Ps: suddenly I’m reminded of World Cup 2002… Visha and Carlyn, didn’t we make a pact back then - to GO watch the finals of 2006 live in Germany? Hehe.
