060606 = 666 . good or bad?

At midnight last night… (can midnight be counted as last night? Or this morning?... now, that’s a thought to ponder on… ;)
Fuqaha messaged and pointed out how nice the date is today –
06/06/06! (actually, quite lah kan?)
BUT,
If we only take into account of real numbers, this only leaves 666.
Do you know that 666 refers to satan or the devil?
Just when I was studying it’s nice-ness, this observation validated.
Now, it’s a bit freaky.

Let’s take a look at world politics.

In Iraq,
About 50 civillians were kidnapped out of the blue at a bus station in Baghdad by gunmen in uniforms. This is just one of the latest act by groups opposing the new Iraqi government, mass kidnappings has been happening lately.
These are all direct challenges to Al-Maliki’s efforts in wanting to restore security within the capital.
I am worried as to what fate these hostages will have.
They’re innocent bystanders, I believe. News didn’t claim whether they’re Sunnis or Shiites or Kurds even.
But these people are, I quote “travelers, merchants and vendors selling tea and sandwiches”.
Huh?!

I don’t get it.
The dude (Al-maliki) was elected by the majority of Iraqis.
I’m sure he has political interests in everything he does and people may not be thoroughly satisfied with this.
But now,
He wants to promote, encourage and aim for peace.
Why is this opposed?!
What is the harm in the act of wanting to lessen harm in the 1st place?
What do these people really want for their country?
Continuous damage?
WHY?

I feel the radical message and preaching of Al-Qaeda’s leader in the video sent to Al-Jazeera a week back has something to do with this.
(Apart from the already active opposition movements in Iraq all this while)
He requested that all Shiites to continue its war with Sunnis, claiming that sectarian violence MUST go on for justice to prevail.
He preaches to NOT settle for peaceful solution as there is really none.

I admit that I don’t entirely know the inside story…
I am in no position to judge whether his claims are right or not.
Whether the ‘forgive and forget’ solution is justified or not.
They are the ones who’ve been done wrong for generations.
I understand this.

My question is simple.
How does adding harm to an already fragile situation solve it?
Can’t you see there’ll NEVER be a solution if things continue to be handled this way… =’(
I don’t see any request for negotiations or diplomatic talks from the Al-Qaeda…
What is it that they want exactly?
Can someone tell me?

But, I still deeply hope they’ll give peace a chance.
Wishful, but very hopeful thinking of me…

As of Iran,
Now even spiritual leaders there are claiming they support the technology and development of nuclear as it is indeed a form of education progress for Iranians.

UN has been trying to call for a meeting between Iran and world super powers which Iran is yet to respond positively to…
Which is also a way of saying NO in my point of view (like duh)

I mean, it’s funny.
The meeting is supposed to be a discussion/negotiation of wanting to make Iran stop the whole nuke thingy.
But,
Did you notice?
One of the requirements before the meeting can take place (set by UN) is that Iran has to STOP their nuke research…
WTH?!@#$
How does the whole thing supposed to work fairly again?!

The whole see-sawing situation is tiring.
It’s like Shakespeare’s Hamlet ( I think it was that play )…
The famous line of wonder -
“to be or not to be?”
…..
“to sanction or not to sanction?”
“to take military action or no military action?”
…..

Poor thing. So many thought she would’ve with her latest wins.

Okay, my train of thoughts needs a rest now.
