Demo debate [x]

Tonight we had our demo debate. It was actually a pretty good one.
It was one of the rare times when we have cold hard facts to back up our argumentations on politics. I’m quite satisfied.
The audience also exceeded my expectation (and by that it means 25% of the Lecture Hall was filled instead of 10%).
Nice =)

I haven’t been doing a countdown for Philippines have I? Not here anyway… but the current days to go is… 2. Yes. TWO!
I’m still working on fact sheets, materials, etcetera…
Plus, I haven’t finished packing yet. Hope to do so by tomorrow.

For the past few days, I’ve been spending my time with my debate bunch a lot.
And I’ve been to and fro to matric even though I’ve officially graduated from it.
Initially, I had no problems with this… but somehow, without me wanting to, I’m being haunted by some negative pasts I had that are tied to all of the above.

I don’t wish to elaborate much on it, but it’s bothering me mentally, so I just have to let it out a bit.

I’ve been questioned one too many times of choices I made and things I do. Especially on people I got involved with… I used to be willing to explain my actions when asked all this, but as of now, I’d rather not…at least not as much anymore.

Why?
Let me use Iran’s lack of political will to transparency of its nuclear weapon for example (okay, I’m officially nuts). It is mainly because Iran got sick of the system and ‘right’ procedures. It is because Iran feels that if all of its cards are spread out on the table for all the other players to see, NOTHING will be achieved, no technology will ever be developed. Because every other superpower in the world would want to slow them down, so there won’t be progress. At all.

This is me. I’m Iran and my private life is the nuclear technology I’d rather keep under radar. If it’s really out in the open, everyone would want to attack it, would want to have a say at it, or even stop it.
So, no go, baby.
I didn’t sign any treaty.
Please, with all due respect back off.

I am not perfect and I love being imperfect.
I’ve been that girl who has over analyzed everything before making decisions back then and that life is boring.
I will keep analyzing decisions, of course. Or I won’t make a very effective debater would I?
But I’m open to mistakes and I will make as many mistakes I want - to learn what I want to learn.
I know my boundaries, I’ve kept them well. Just ask any parties involved.
(i.e. bombing US is probably NOT the brightest idea since it’ll cause nuclear war. So I didn’t or haven’t bombed US… The world can proof that, it’ll be all over the news if I had , you see what I mean?)
If the consequences of my actions harm no 3rd party, I have sovereign rights, don’t I?
Let me answer that – YES, I do.

To those who did, thank you for caring enough to want to advise me and pinpoint my mistakes or bad call in deciding who I fall for.
But at the end of the day, I have no regrets at all.
The aftermath’s worth it.
Judge me not on what you see or hear if you do not know what’s really going on inside, out.

So, ahem, please allow Iran to develop its nuclear technology.
The hell with its limitations set for IAEA.
It deserves the privacy.
The hell with its connection to terrorist.
They see these people as freedom fighters.
Just because YOUR interpretation of certain people differ, DON’T be too quick to react negatively.
