It's Mother's Day.. love the one woman in your life who's there for real =)

14th May (is only an hour away as I type this)
It’s Mother’s Day! =)
*hugs mama*

I’m giving her the poem I posted here two weeks back… it’ll be printed on a pretty paper and given inside a pretty card I picked out ;-)
Mom doesn’t really like it if her kids spend too much on universal anniversaries such as this, so I kind of have gotten used to only giving her cards every year. Hey, it’s the thought that counts!
But her birthdays are well celebrated, mind you.

Tomorrow, she’s made plans for HER mother, who is my GRANMA.
It’s the traditional thing we do on Mother’s Day – have a nice buffet dinner at a hotel with the whole family. It’s a ‘gift’ since we rarely got to do this anymore – gather together to celebrate the nurturers of our lives – since my only uncle’s been traveling all over the place due to his new job and all the youngsters are staying away from home now.

I love it how each woman will receive some sort of little special thing… there’ll be roses, cakes, handmade boxes, chocolates or even (this one year) a love songs CD!
(okay, I’ll admit it, the fact that my mom and granma will give these to me since I’m the only young girl in the family made them MY perks too ;p)

But all in all, I love each and every woman in my family.
It’s always good to celebrate as a form of appreciation.
Hopefully when I become a mother myself, my kids will do something for me too on this day.
(well, if ‘future mama’ never ignores the day, my ‘future kids’ shouldn’t either! Haha… ;D)

I realize I’m very drawn to Taureans… there’s just something about their down-to-earth nature which never fails to tame my psychotic-dreamy self.
BUT, let’s save that thought for another day shall we…

It’s ALL about MOMMIES now!
